Asus is known for making outrageously bold products. This time they have given it all to create, not one but two laptops that would make anyone's jaw drop.

Introducing the Zenbook Pro Duo (UX581)

The Zenbook Pro Duo features not one but two screens. A normal 15.6-inch 4K OLED screen and a 14-inch (~3840x1100) matte LCD panel placed just above the keyboard. The design is very similar to their Ultra-Slim Zephryus gaming laptop, however the upper vents are now replaced by the aforementioned large matte screen, which Asus calls the 'ScreenPad Plus'.

As far as functionality is concerned, the ScreenPad Plus can either be used as a second screen or it can be split into 2 or more smaller screens. In addition, it can also be set to work as an extension of the main screen, giving you the extra space and width to enjoy content seamlessly across the two screens. But honestly, as a content creator and gamer, that extra screen space really allows you to do so much more.

What Powers The Zenbook Pro Duo?

Just like their Zephryus lineup, the Zenbook Pro Duo is a premium product. It sports an 8-core Intel i9-9980HK processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 support along with an IR webcam. Beside these monstrous specs, the laptop also houses --

  • 2x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A

  • 3x USB-C

  • 1x Thunderbolt

  • 1x Standard HDMI

  • 1x Audio Jack

  • 1x DC-in

Low Powered Zenbook Duo (UX481)

The Zenbook Duo is a smaller 14-inch model and sports the same design the more premium Zenbook Pro Duo. However, the screen here is full HD rather than 4K. On the CPU and GPU front the Zenbook Duo will probably get the Intel Core i7 U-Series processor clubbed with an Nvidia GeForce MX250 series graphics; making it more of an ultra-portable than a number crunching laptop.

ErgoLift Hinge

Both the Zenbook Pro Duo and Zenbook Duo feature Asus's unique ErgoLift hinge, first introduced in their Zenbook S. What this provides is better airflow and comfort since the base of the laptop is pushed up at an angle when opened. However, I can't say much about the overall comfort but I can vouch for the Zenbooks unique airflow system.

Pricing and availability haven't been mentioned yet, but Asus plans on officially launching the Zenbook Pro Duo and the Zenbook Duo in India towards the end of this year.
